Soul, hip-hop, punk, rock…New Orleans brass band? From a 9-member ensemble from Brooklyn, NY? Yep, it’s all decidedly mixed up, but that’s the beauty of the renowned Youngblood Brass Band. But also awesome!

The proud products (and now proponents) of a top quality public school arts-education programme, the Youngblood Brass Band eschew genre, class, racial and geographical barriers, focusing rather on creating an intensely energetic, passionate, and groundbreaking sonic experience. Last seen blowing horns with Swiss rapper Bligg on his album Brass aber Herzlich, the Youngblood Brass Band are currently sweeping through Europe on tour.
