Track of the Day: The Bony King Of Nowhere – ‘Travelling Man’

The intriguingly named The Bony King of Nowhere, aka Belgian singer/songwriter/composer Bram Vanparys, has been slowly but surely building a fine reputation for himself with his quietly assured and sincere folk music – his 2011 release Eleonore was met with well-deserved critical acclaim throughout Europe and beyond. Following in the footsteps of the likes of Bob Dyland, Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake, Vanparys has a stripped back sound which resonates with a warm, if solitary, melancholy.

Recorded in a single, rainy day in an old house in the forests of southern Belgium, Vanparys’ latest, self-titled album is due for release in late October this year. Here’s lovely, wistful snippet for you:

The Bony King Of Nowhere‘s new album is out on 22.10.12.
