Since the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2007, Norwegian singer-songwriter/pianist Susanne Sundfør has done nothing but collect awards and praise. The follow-up to Susanne Sundfør, 2010′s darkly folkloric and forboding The Brothel, went platinum in Norway and was nominated for the 2011 Nordic Music Prize. Phew! That’s quite a series of a achievements for a 26-year old.
Now she has released The Silicon Veil, a further exploration of, as she says, ‘Apocalypse, death, love, and snow’. Sounds intriguing (and possibly, very cold).
